Hello im reciving an error when i test the mod

Error in Package Installation

At least one error was encountered during a test installation of this package. It is strongly recommended that you do not continue with installation unless you know what you are doing, and have made a backup very recently. This error may be caused by a conflict between the package you're trying to install and another package you have already installed, an error in the package, a package which requires another package that you don't have installed yet, or a package designed for another version of SMF.

How many other mods do you have installed there
After 500+ installations on clean setups on SMF versions 1.1rc3 and SMF 1.0.8 they havent given us one single error in the index.template.php file.
Only if you have other mods installed that alter the code, TP will give you an error in that file, often the array code if you have a mod that alter that

Im only useing 24 mods .

No wonder you will have errors then, s we know that TP will work with out errors what so ever on most installes, we cant take tis as a TP error im affraid.

You are lucky to only have one fail, if you can find out where to put all the TP code in index.template you can still go ahead and ftp the manually modified file to your site.

Tiny Portal is a very complex mod and works best on a clean and unmodified  version of SMF or immediately following an SMF upgrade.

Ok ,
I made a full back-up . Can i delete the smf , Reinstall the 1.1rc3 and then tiny portal . ? then run back up ?
I cant afford to loose my boards.

You dont have to delete anything. Just upload the files from the upgradepackage of 1.1rc3, then run the upgrade.php file from your browser, that will update the files and the database removing all old things and mods from the files (all content will still be there )
Then download the TP install package, upload it through the package manager and run the install, that will upgrade your TinyPortal, All content will still be there.
Refresh your browser and look t your new forum will all fresh files
