Trying to build a new site today.

Normally I am used to the almost point and click and all done routine installs of SMF and TP, but today I I get after the TP install is a white page... The entire site is dead.

Anyone know what version of SMF and TP I should be trying to install today?  I am a little lost with all of the changes lately as to what works and what no longer does.

Many thanks...

It sounds like you have an incompatable theme set in your profile, you need to set your theme to default before you upgrade.

SMF 1.0.8 and 1.1RC3 work with TinyPortal 0.95 beta release.

Virgin install...  That is not it...

smf_1-1-rc3_install.zip
TP_095beta.zip

Permissions errors or zerobyte files. Upload all the files from 1.1rc3 (leave the settings.php and settings.bak.php alone in your forum root, upload and overwrite the rest of the files, then do the TP install again

Hey there Mrs G6!

How is my hero doing today?   I just erased everything in my public directory, then dropped everything in the SQL data base and installed SMF RC3 from scratch again.   It is up and running. at www.sysengr.net

Now I am off to install TP_095beta.zip through the SMF upload packages option again.

BRB to let you know how it went.

Humm...

3rd time was the charm.  Something had a hickup like Mrs G6 said.  This time everythign went as normal and it installed as I have always seen it.

My only change was that I totaly erased everything in my public folder first.

It had to be a permission some place.

Love ya!!
