Fixing installation error's

 I have a test forum. Everything on that forum works just fine. On my live site have some problems. I think I found the problem. On the test site I installed TP 0.9.5 then updated to 0.9.7 on the live site I installed 0.9.7 no upgrade.

So I created another test site installed 0.9.5 then upgraded everything was fine.
I then removed everything and reinstalled. Installed 0.9.7 no upgrade. This gave the same issues that are on the live site.

So can I simple uninstall TP 0.9.7 delete it. Then install TP 0.9.5 then upgrade to TP0.9.7? Will that work?

Theoratically u should be able to uninstall TP 0.97 and then after u delete all associated files and clean out all database tables belonging to TP
u should be able to install 0.95 if u need to

but in practical life things can get messed up - so ry on test site before trying on live site

and before u do anything to live site TAKE A FULL BACKUP
