Modding files

I have TP .86R2, and I'm trying to install it on SMF 1.1RC2.  I've uploaded all the files and am trying to follow the TP_mod-instructions.txt file.  However, the index.template.php does not contain some of the code that I'm directed to look for.

Should I do the installation through the package manager before I do the manual mods?  What am I doing wrong?

Any reason you're not using the package manager?

Okay, I just did, and everything installed fine.  Does that mean I don't have to do the manual modding of those files?

Correct. Unless you have or are going to install other SMF themes that do not support TP.
