Edit forum news question.

I figured out how to get text into the edit forum news box but there is another box in the center of my frontpage that states..."There are no articles in this section yet".  Anyone know how I can access that area?

yep, its easy. click in the little box above right ^^^ and type what you are looking for, and click "search". makes everyones life heaps easier.

well yes... of course its do it yourself. building a website isnt easy, not matter how you do it. It is always going to require a little pro-active effort on your part, and answering questions on a saturday morning isnt something I am paid to do. (no one here is btw).
so really, if you want an all inclusive site where you dont have to think/search at all, I will be happy to do it for you (but it doesnt come cheap/free). other then that, get in there and do something for yourself!

I been doing a lot.  I traded the initial setup for a P3 to a young kid and gave him the machine before he completed the project.  He got me to the SMF point and after all that the rest has been up to me.  Should have waited to give him the P3 until he finished the job.  He was also supposted to build the Frontpage last Monday and I even let him borrow my mountain bike because he doesn't have a car and his CPU and bike are being held hostage by the last place he lived for storage fees.  Anyway, the site is up and running I just wanted to tweak a few things and I am sure I will want to do more.  Thanks again for all your help. c

Im not sure about the prsedure on this verssion of SMF 1.0.7, but on 1.1rc2 you go to Admin/Amin/News and Newsettings/to add new news.

And Admin/tinyportal/settings/Show userinfo/news at the top

I have the news one figured out, there is another box in the center of the page about 3 clicks or boxes if you prefer down from the news box.  It doesn't have a title like the Admin box or let's say for example...(I was able to figure out how to put another box below the Admin box and put text into it.)
