I have recently upgraded one of my sites from tp 0.98 to 1.0 5-1 and im stuck on how to fix what has happened.

The front page shrunk and I cant seem to get any of the center or front panels blocks to show...

any Ideas?

Im using:

TinyPortal 1.0 beta 5-1

Powered by SMF 1.1.11 | SMF Ã,© 2006-2009, Simple Machines LLC

Always make sure things work in the default theme first. Check that and let us know how it looks.

Mine did the same and and on the default theme as well and all the side boxes too. I even took the side box padding down to zero.. I did an an upgrade from TinyPortal v1.0 beta 4  to TinyPortal 1.0 beta 5-1 with SMF 1.1.11...

it seems I can add some types of blocks like a calendar snipit worked / used box worked but when ever I trey to use any of the original blocks things go south ???

moto~man,

I looked at your site with Google Chrome and it looks fine.  What browser are you using where you get this behavior?

This would be normal when upgrading from SMF 1.1.11 to SMF 2.0 RC3.  Not only will SMF Mods that worked fine with the earlier version not work correctly with SMF 2.0 RC3, but many, if not most, block code snippets with custom code that worked fine would need to be edited to work with the new version.  In addition to that, your theme that worked fine with SMF 1.1.11 and TP 0.9.8, will not work correctly.  Make sure you are using the SMF 2.0 RC3 version of the theme, if there is one.

Ive been at it for hrs and hrs trying different things to get the site back up...

I have a lot of articles that I was using in blocks on the front page and it seems that any time I enabled a side block the middle block would disappear... so what I had to do is copy the content form my article then go to blocks and create an html then paste it that way and it seems to be working...

I use chrome and firefox but always look at it with IE just to make sure...

This started out as an upgrade from tp .98 to tp 1.0 5-1 then migrated to SMF 2.0 RC3.

I have a few sites up now that are running SMF 2.0 RC3 and thanks to all here at TP Ive gotten all the snipits working that I normally use.

You think the difference between tp 0.98 and 1.0 b5-1 is to great or something else on the site might have caused this? At any rate that was the last site I had still running 0.98 so Im all up to date now.

The front blocks not showing is a bug in beta 5.1. It is fixed in the next beta I believe.

ahh ok cool... I haven't come across that with any of my other sites yet...

Good to know.

Thanks everyone
