Found the error, php articles are not specialchars escaped..i will need to add that to TPortalAdmin file.

Since this didn't make it into the latest release, what changes can I make myself in the meanwhile?

bloc

Its already there, look at TPortalAdmin.php for these lines:

             // escape any php code
             if($artu==-1 && !get_magic_quotes_gpc())
$artbb = addslashes($artbb);

So them I'm either doing something wrong or it doesn't work.

I started with the exact code in the thread and if you edit it you cant as you loose half your code which is output as the form itself in the editing window, same as described earlier in this thread ;\

bloc

There are perhaps more issues with this particular script..the fix was really for any php article.

crip

You could do like I have, I have a link: "Contact Us" to a php-form-mail-script located in my forum root, then in a script block I have a added popup window that opens in my forum.. and in the same popup window it shows the sender a "Thank you for contacting us, will get back to you asap")..it works for me.. :)  I can give you a link to the php-script if your interested?

later, crip

bloc is right - that script was more to show the issues I was having with the editor swallowing code.

the script did work though ... but I'm sure it is somewhat ISP dependant.

unfortunately, I don't have an update.

Harro

Any updates for this?
AM having the same problem at the moment.
Or do I have to do like crip said it, open it in another popup?

G6Cad

There isent any update that take care of this for the TPV.086, but it is fixed in the next release of TP though.  :-\

Harro

Great :)
For now I'll use an external page then :)
Thanks for the reply!
