Thinking of changing 1.0.7 to 1.1rc2

I use the 1.0.x version of TP on my forum and I plant to up grade the forum to 1.1rc2 but (then reinstall TP) and I want to keep my TP tables so will the upgrade and reinstall damage the data that would have to be refreshed from the pre upgrade back up or will the data be safe (i will back up anyway) ??

The upgrade should not make any of the content from what you have now diffrent.

If you use the upgrade package from SMF it should work just the same as before.

Thanks for the quick replies its made me more confident about doing this 
will the new installation of tp overwrite the old tp tables?

it changes and add what it have to, and leave the rest the same.

Yes, and update aswell - it will not take away from what you already have, however, it simply gives you more control and options..

As crip said. Make a complete backup for both the forum and the Database just in case something goes wrong.
