I just updated a site to tp RC2 and am getting this error:

2: cannot yet handle MBCS in html_entity_decode()!
File: /Sources/TPortal.php
Line: 1949

not sure what to do , have emptied the error log and when it comes right back from clicking the button there are 141 pages with same error over and over

smf 1.1.14

Freddy

What version of PHP are you on ?

darkangel

Apache version  1.3.42
PHP version    5.2.17
MySQL version    5.1.56

now oddly enough all her forums did not give the error, only the two that I updated to RC 2

the ones that are 1.0 RC1.1 do not have that error

nor does mine on that same host that is rc2...lol (test site)

Freddy

Hmm, well after googling the error it appears to occur in PHP4.  So that's a dead end.  Will have to wait for IchBin I think.

IchBin

Can you post a php_info() page from one of those forums?

darkangel

I would if I could remember how to do it...sorry having a platinum blonde moment and I am a brunette,

what happened to the smilies when posting -- all I see are the names only so is it your end or my computer acting up.

I remembered how to get the info but not how to get it off the web page...I should not be let loose on the world today, sorry

but the info I posted earlier came from her c-panel and when I ran the phpinfo I find it says it is PHP Version 4.4.9

darkangel

taken care of, called lunar pages and asked why the difference and he said that the server is version 4 but he flipped something over there and made it version 5 for her forums and the error is gone.

thanks, now you can see where the smilies ran away to..

IchBin

That's exactly why I asked for the phpinfo() page. :) Glad you got it figured out.
