install problems -- index.template.php

hi,

I am trying to install TinyPortal v.0.8.6 on SMF 1.0.6.and get this message:

8. Execute Modification ./Themes/default/index.template.php Failure

could someone tell how to fix it?

Is this a clean install of 1.0.6 or has it been modified? If it has been modified, there might be a mod which is conflicting. In this case, a manual install might be required.

there was nothing modified,
I will try the manual install,
strange, i  had also problems with many other modules to install..., hm

and from 4 to 7 install is not possible :-/

what can i do?

You could try uninstalling the other mods, then install TP - then reinstall the others.

Your first two caused me a bit of trouble in installing TP on 1.0.6, so I upgraded to RC2 and did TP first. You should be fine staying with 1.0.6

Un-install TP & other mods, then run TP .zip via package manager..it's that fails, do manual install, if that fails then run TP .zip (again) via package manager .. repeat if necessary ..
