Here's the issue I'm having; I seem to create a poll and then I get it to display on the homepage using the SSI function block and it displays perfectly but then once the vote has been CASTED, it displays nothing (check the two images below to understand it more clearly). Please help me out here guys. Why exactly is this occuring :|

Do you guys think it's the width of my left panel thats causing this to happen. The width of my left panel is set to 188px?

Ianedres

Move the block to a center box and you can quickly see if it is a width problem. But I would think 'something' would have appeared.

You're right. I moved the block to the center and the same thing occured. I could really use some help here. :)

Just tried this on two of my test sites, and it does the same as your's.   ???

Give us some time to get to the bottom of it please.  ;)

If I remember right, this was something to do with the way SMF's query works for the Poll function. Thurnok posted a fix IIRC a LONG time ago. I can't find it...

Brad, was it this one? http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?topic=9623.0

Tried the method on the first post, second page of that thread,

Adding this to a php block ssi_showPoll(06.0);  and changing the number to reflect the topic the poll is posted on.

Works nicely, and shows result on home page.  ;)

Hey that actually worked. Thanks a lot bud.
And I'm glad I was able to point out a bug :) I feel so special already.

Glad it worked.  ;)

Was going to mark this solved, but,

What should also happen is, when you submit your vote from the front page block the page should redirect to the forum poll.  Not sure if was doing that for you, looking at your screen grabs.

It was redirecting for me though.  ;)

I believe that was also the issue in the thread I pointed you to above.

You may mark this as "solved" because it's re-directing me to the poll's thread as well. So all is good. :)
You guys are da best!
