Error in Package Installation
At least one error was encountered during a test installation of this package. It is strongly recommended that you do not continue with installation unless you know what you are doing, and have made a backup very recently. This error may be caused by a conflict between the package you're trying to install and another package you have already installed, an error in the package, a package which requires another package that you don't have installed yet, or a package designed for another version of SMF.

Kinda new at this, but I'm upgrading an older 1.1 RC3 forum to 1.1.11 and got this error. I used the package installer to remove the previous version of TinyPortal (.96) but I still have problems. If I try to install TP despite the error, it gives me an error about
"Unknown column 'a.file_hash' in 'field list'
File: /home/hitman/public_html/forum/Sources/Display.php
Line: 711"
and I can't do/see anything on the forum until I do a clean install of SMF forum software again.

I should probably mention that I had to do some finessing to get the SMF software to update. Minor modification of the Sources/ManageSmileys.sql and upgrade1-1.sgl to use 'code' instead of 'LENGTH(code).' That probably doesn't make a difference but it's the only non-standard thing I did during the upgrade.

Sounds like your MySQL server may be running in strict mode or something if it's being that picky about things. Not sure what the "file_hash" error is though. I don't think it has anything to do with TP. Looks like you've upgraded to SMF2 rc3 though. Did you try the install on that version? Get the same result?

sagafamilyorg

Yeah, it was giving me errors validating my admin account, so I ended up upgrading to 2.0 RC3. Unfortunately, it still didn't solve anything as far as TP is concerned, but the error on package installation went away. A lot of the errors I was getting seemed to be caused by the Theme I had been using previously. TP Arcane magic doesn't like being upgraded I guess.

I'm going to give it another shot. Maybe with the theme off it will work better.

sagafamilyorg

No luck.. the moment I install TP now, every page comes up

"Fatal error: Call to undefined function ssi_galleryrandom() in /sagafamily.org/Sources/Load.php(2108) : eval()'d code(48) : eval()'d code on line 1"

I did notice in my version checking that my copy of "Sources/SSI.php" is old (version 1.1.7.) Every other file is 2.0 RC3 or ? ? ?. Could Sources/SSI.php be the problem? Where would I get an up to date copy of that file?

IchBin

You can get an updated file from the install package of SMF. Where is ssi_galleryrandom() getting called from? Are you upgrading from a previous version of TP? It looks to me like you have a block or something calling some code that does not exist or something. When you do the install of TP, if you add noblock to your URL does it allow you to browse around again?

index.php?action=forum;noblocks

sagafamilyorg

Yeah, this is an entire site upgrade from TinyPortal v0.9.6beta, but I thought I uninstalled it before the upgrade. It still shows up in my list of packages, but there is no uninstall now. Is there something extra I need to do to get rid of the call to ssi_galleryrandom()?

Thanks in advance!

IchBin

Did you try viewing with the link text I posted above? This allows you to go into your admin without blocks turned on. From there you should be able to turn the block off or change the code that has the ssi_galleryrandom() function in it.
