I see today that you changed the graphics displayed in the Recent box. Before there was a white box displayed  for each recent post. Since I liked that graphic display i downloaded most recent version of tiny portals, expecting to get that graphic display as well. But of course i did not get that.

I know you have the envision theme. I also know that you have latest version of tiny portals. Do you have a custom version of the css styles not available to anyone else or did the envision theme supply the styles for tiny panels that you are using?

Thanks

Lesmond

the resent block works in beta 5.2. no css edit needed, it was my fault. I wanted the white boxes turned off to give more space to show the shout box on the forum index.

It can be turned on or off in the resent block edit under "Show avatars?    No Yes"

In general, how do you adapt tiny portals to the different themes that are available?

For instance, if I download a theme from bloc web, and download tiny portals, is it up to me to editt the css styles to match your tiny portals to the theme i downloaded?

I am not sure on that winky, maybe someone else can answer.

Many themes have some options to display different things and Bloc's Envision theme is no exception.  There are things that you can change by going to Admin --> Configuration --> Current Theme, when Envision is the current theme.

TinyPortal has it's own options which can be set by going to the TP Admin area and changing them.  As Les said, the Recent Topics block that you have in your version of TP is the same one we use here, it's just that, with the one displayed here in the left panel, the Avatars are turned off at the present time.  If you want that block to display on your site the way it was displayed here a couple of days ago, just turn the Avatars on in the edit screen for that block.

TP styles use either the styles supplied with tp-style.css in default theme, or the custom theme tp-style.css. But for the most part it simply use the standard styles in various ways, like windowbg, titlebg etc. So all themes will "work" fine, no need to adapt them intially.

If you want to change the TP specific styles then you will need to copy over tp-style.css from default theme to your theme, and change that file. Envision theme and a few others have already been tweaked some for this - but thats a extra bonus in those themes.
