Number of characters in title Recent Topics

There any way to change the number of characters in the title section Recend Topic?

In my forum, the section "Recent" is in "Lower Block Panel" and does not see well, because it leaves a great space.

I think that it is one of two places. Depending on the settings you're using it  will either be in the Sources/TPSubs.php file, or the SSI.php file. Look for something like this:
'short_subject' => shorten_subject($row['subject'], 25),

Just change the number 25 to what ever you want.
