TP1B5 question

Friends,

I upgraded from TP1B4 to TP1B5 running on smf 1.1.11, and it has been pretty much trouble free. The only thing wierd is this tab that shows up only when reading a thread in the forums. It is circled in pink in the picture. Any ideas what that is and how to get rid of it?

looks like a top block or something that doesent work as it should after thee upgrade
Check your blocks and or articles you might have had on that location before you upgraded

Thank you for the information. That is the thing I didn't have any blocks there from before, but I will check to see if all my blocks are working correctly (they appear to be on the front page).

Also, I just looked in my error log, and there are thousands of entries like this;




Any thoughts?

Set your forum to default SMF theme and clear your error log and see if you still have these errors.
The errors there are very old ones thats been fixed a long time ago, i dont know what theme you are using but if it's an old theme thats not been updated for some time, you need to update it so the versions match the code used in the theme.

TP have changed a lot of things and use it's own files to render themes now, so if you have an old theme with TP code in it, it will shoot errors like the ones you have there.

Ok I will check that out. I am using the default theme actually, with a file that changes it to the colors you see. Thank you for your assistance.

Ok I just switched to non-modified default theme, and errors still appeared after clearing the log while running the default theme.

That bar/tab you see in topics is the "promote to frontpage" option. But the language string doesn't seem to be loaded.

yup. language extries seems to be missing.

from what I can see in your logs thats not what is putting that panel at the top
for that you'll eaither have an article or a block titles "TP" thats empty or not displaying due to errors within that erticler or block.

To me it looks like its an empty block or article as I can't see any errors showing up in your log reguarding that article/block. it doesn't mean that there aren't any in there just that its not pointing to tyhem clearly unless the srticle/block is using vairables leftbar , rightbar .. is that is the case then look at lines 651 and 653 of that article or block. but like i said i don't think the errors are comming from a block or articke.. I think its a blank article or block
