I just have to say this!

Thank you to Bloc and the entire Beta Testing team.  You folk worked long and hard and took a lot of pressure while doing it.  I really appreciate your efforts and just needed to thank all of you for a job well done.

Xarcell

Your welcome.

Can't wait for Beta 6!

grabman

Let me add my thanks as well!  Beta 5 is great!

Xarcel, did you have to add the Beta 6 tempter, now we'll all be waiting on that. ;-)

Xarcell

I'm excited about Beta 6. It's going to have a major performance boost, which means it will be ALOT less strain on the server, and alot faster.

There are a few features that is top secret. As always, TP is always the first to try something new. What bloc has planned is off the chain. But I can't mention it here, everyone will have to wait.

It's going to be a long while before you see it's release to the public, so don't hold your breath.... ;)

thats great.. because i've noticed (especially in the TPAdmin stuff with lots of options in it .. eg: editing blocks) really bogs down on shared hosting.. I think that the host is limiting CPU use or something

I was going to suggest that the admin areas that require lots of data that it be split into seperate screens.. eg: block content in one and the formatting in another an d access lvls in yet anotther.

this would serve 2 purposes as the main thing that you do is edit the block/articles content .. I rarely go in and edit the block type/formatting and members access to that block

same thing could be done with the blocks management .. eg: left block, right block etc.. all in seperate sections.. as this is another place that places a excessive load
as i have a lot of blocks in there.. being worked on but not actually active

bloc

It loads only what data you need when in TPadmin - but it can be better, for sure. :)

The resources saved that xarcell talks about, will be from caching of TP content. That will be the main focus of beta6, which should be the last beta before a RC version.
