Newbie Questions: Category display and Intro not showing

Hey guys,

This is my first time using TP and it's kept me up until 6am this morning trying to figure stuff out.

The first thing is I want to have block go to specific categories in the forum from the Frontpage blocks

The second thing is I can't seem to get the intros to display in an article block. I did it once and can't remember what I did to get it to work. Help?
