I just upgraded from tp .94 and smf 1.1.1 to smf 1.1.11 and tp 1.4 b4

after many actions, it redirects to http://www.mysite.com/index.php?action=forum

where before it used to redirect to http://www.mysite.com/

for instance, when you post something in the shoutbox, it drops you straight into the forum index.

is this a TP issue? or a SMF issue?

ZarPrime

Hi Goad,

The redirect for the Shoutbox was fixed for 1.0 beta 4, so I'm not quite sure why posting a shout would redirect you to the Forum Index.

In any case, the fix for both the Shoutbox redirect and the Login redirect for beta 4 is located here --> Login/shoutbox Redirect

i think the problem is on a wider scale. even when performing smf taskes like deleting accounts (spammers) it still directs me to ?action=forum when it used to redirect to root.

any link to this? any ideas? im going to go dig around on smf's forum and see what i can find.

The link that Zarprime posted is exactly what you need to change Goad. This change affects SMF login AND the TP shout posting redirect.

i could not find the code in the TPShout.php (did a search for it)

then the change in the subs.php did not fix the issue.

Do you have search engine friendly URL's turned on in your SMF settings? That setting is located on this page.

www.yourdomain.com/index.php?action=featuresettings

Actually if you'd like to still have search engine friendly URL's on, you can follow my instructions in this post.
