I tried searching this but. the keywords generated too many hits..

I have a forum about 3years old. My DB is only 112mb, however, the directory is 3.5GB. Mostly images. I did put size restrictions but, their photo happy. When I do backups.. it doubles of course.

My question is: What is considered to be too large of a site? Whats an average?

Going back I would have done things differently..

Ã,¨Cant say a generic site size, it all depends on what you have built, what content you have and what you aim for discussion wise.

My site is about 2.5gb in size, but i have almost 2000 games to play, and also a gallery with big images in.

I know sites that are over 40gb in size, and also i know sites that are a few years old and runs on a 500mb hosting plan with a lot of members posting every day.

So normal would be, whats normal ?  ;)

Yea, I kinda figured that. I just worry about the long term of the site. If there is no issue with a 10+ GB site then Im ok for a while. I need a user friendly solution for the images, I think. Thanks for the FYI.
