Yeah I have that already, apparently im slightly retarded and the boxes aren't empty, they are just so light in color that I can barely see them on my screen.  /facepalm  I was checking it on another computer and I can see them fine.  Now looking on my computer very closely I can see it. 

So I guess my next question would be does any have an idea on how to change the colors so that it is more noticeable?

It's beyond the scope of what we support here, but if you look at my home page, under the left block Zetan's Choice Cuts / Current Choice Cuts, You'll see that I've used it to good effect, it needs a little work.

Here's the format of the code for that section of the block. Note, I have formatted it my way, it's not necessarily the best way for you because I've incorporated it into List Items with formatted bullet points, but you'll get the general idea for borders, colors and opacity.
