My Request ...

who made your theme?  You will also need to fix the theme so that the SMF copyright is visible at the bottom of every page.  Right now you can't see it unless you highlight it.  You can only barely see Bloc's link in the TP coypright.

i made this theme by myself... atleast i still have that copyright thing on my site.. there is a lots of other site running SMF & TP... not using any copyright footer....
anyway i dont care what other people do.. but i am using that thing

lets come to point guys.. please help me... i am scratching my head about this issue from last few days.

Even if there are other sites that don't show the SMF copyright information, that is not material to the current discussion.  We are talking about your site, not another one.  The SMF License requires that the Simple Machines copyright be retained and clearly visible.  Have you even read it?

Let's come to the point.  No further support will be provided to you until the issue is corrected or until Bloc or one of the Admins here says it's OK to proceed.  We are a little more lenient here wrt to the TinyPortal copyright so the way you display it is OK, but the SMF copyright must be visible.

man let me clear one thing... are you Tinyportal Supporter or SMF supporter ?

Bro my Tinyportal Copyright was always visible. i never try to hide that & i will not even try that in future..... but SMF is defferent deal... some how while i was coding theme.. that got hidden.... i am not making stuff up, so lets frankly (You guys all know that why is that invisible)

I do want let you know i always support Tiny Portal... & i designed my own Theme with copying of code from some other Themes...I did all the hustle.. but i am giving all the credit to Tinyportal & i named it "Tinyportal Theme"..... why ???? cuz i love support TP Team...

this is not your business my friend to tell me Get my copyright currect.... if tinyportal dont support those site, the one dont have copyright.. then why those people using your guys Mod & Themes... ????

IF Bloc or Ichbin want me to make that thing visible... then i am more welcome to do it... i dont say that i won't do this... as i am telling TP if TP guys want me to do this... i will do it..

as i know TP & SMF are 2 different Departments...so i think this is good idea to keep them as it..

I am sorry my friends if i said anything wrong....

& more gud new... i fixed the problem by myself... i was having some convflict in database as i said it before... i am really Thanks full to all of you guys... who really Tried to Help me.....
once again... Thanks So much for the Support

Man, let me answer that.  We are TinyPortal Support.

Yes, I know exactly why it is invisible.  It's invisible primarily because it has been removed from the SMF default core theme on your site.

Bro, I am not trying to give you a hard time.  We certainly appreciate your support of TinyPortal but if you think it is not our business to tell you to get your SMF copyright correct, then you are absolutely incorrect.  It is impossible for us to know of every site on the Internet that is breaking the law and not respecting the copyrights of others.

At TinyPortal, we have a policy that we will not assist people with problems if they have removed the SMF copyright or even a theme author's copyright.  You can read our copyright policy by clicking the link here --> TinyPortal Copyright Policy

It is not permitted to remove the SMF copyright from the default SMF theme and it has indeed been removed from your default theme and is not visible on your custom theme.  If it was replaced in your default theme, it would likely show up in your custom theme as well, unless you have made a mistake during the authoring of your theme.  That is not a TP issue, it is an SMF issue.  We will gladly assist you to solve any problems you have if you are abiding by and respecting the copyrights of others.  WRT SMF, it is a legal requirement.

If you don't believe me wrt your site, click this link ...

It shows your site using the SMF default core theme.  Look at the bottom.  I've attached a picture below of what you will see.

I am pleased that you have solved the problem.  However, the fact remains that you are using an illegal copy of SMF.  If you need help to make sure that your SMF software is compliant, then I suggest you go to the SMF site and ask them what you should do to fix the problem.

Alrite bro this issue been solved.... I am really sorry about.... i have no idea how long it been like that....when is that happend... & how...
But i fixed that thing... you can check that link....

thanks for informing me that.....

IchBin

It could actually be an installation or upgrade issue, or even a mod issue causing that. What I do know, is that I've seen that error before, and I have also seen plenty of issues at SMF about it. In fact, I think they even have a Doc on the Documentation site that deals with this error. Thank you for your understanding. Good luck with your site.

pendusingh

i do want let people know That how i fixed this error....

1. i restore whole SMF source package.
2. i Restore also my Defualt theme..
3. then empty out all the Tinyportal Database Tables.
4. then restore with Currect running (day)date....
5. Deleted mY cookies & Cacha... Then Refresh page & login everything was working fine.... i tried with 3 different ID's ... all those ID working fine now...

Now everything running excellent....

What i suggest People; Keep you site backtoup all the time.... include database... you never now, when whats gonna get screwed...

But anyways...TP  Thanks so much for still helping me out...

Was it possible at any time, for the users to of upshrinked the left hand blocks with the current theme (even if you've majorly modified the theme since that time).

If that was possible, and then you've subsequently removed the upshrink button, but not removed the code, the left hand blocks would remain hidden for those who chose to upshrink them, with no way to show them again, unless you cleared those settings from the database.
For registered users, the column upshrink selections are normally stored within the database, although it does depend on how the theme author wrote the code.

Frobozz

I just had the same problem with a missing upper block item.  It would show for all admins, mods, guests but NOT for regular ("ungrouped") members.

No matter what I did I couldn't get it to work.

Finally, I poked around in phpmyadmin and looked in the table "smf_tp_blocks".
In the field "access" it lists the groups that have access by their internal group number.  When comparing the new record to previous ones, I noticed all other records had the value -1 prior to the other numbers in the field.
(example: -1,0,2,3,9,10,-2)
The record that was created by TP when I created the new block item, did not have a -1 and I could not get the member selection to create it.   So I hand-edited the data
from: 0,2,3,9,10,-2
to: -1,0,2,3,9,10,-2
and then the missing panel appeared for the regular members.

I guess it's likely that there's some screwy problems on my site that created this issue, and maybe this solution I came upon is bass-ackwards, but it worked for me and maybe it will help someone else out of a jam in the future.
