You have to manually move the TP shoutbox files over, that error usually show when the server are wrongly configured and the permissions deny the files to be moved or created.

I wish I'd visited this forum 2 days ago!

I got almost the same error as above/below:

...except, my problems started when I upgraded to SMF 1.1.9 and then decided to upgrade TP to beta4.  It also says my database is at version 1.1.2.

When I try to install the Adv Shoutbox, I get a line of code when trying to access it/alter settings, etc:

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/fazakstu/public_html/tp-files/tp-modules/TPAdvShout/Sources/TPAdvShout.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/fazakstu/public_html/Sources/TPmodules.php on line 80

The simple shoutbox works fine; and that is what I've had to use for the time being whilst I work out what is wrong.

Also, when adding codes to the HTML/JavaScript block, on clicking 'save' the code vanishes from the text box; and when looking at the block it should appear on the forums, all I see is the code, not what should be there!!

I can't reinstall SMF Arcade, SMF Gallery; and a few other mods, as they all come up as being corrupt.  I'm guessing it's all down to the installation?

Will the manual edit as described above possibly sort this out, or do I need to do something else?  Any advice would be appreciated, as I've gone bald over the past two days pulling my hair out!  ;)

Dave.

The Adv Shotubox has issues and is no longer supported or encouraged for use. Install the standard shoutbox.
