article and user info

I have just installed this for another pal of mine...seems I have been chosen as the one to run to for installing SMF and this wonderful portal...lol

Now it is :
SMF 1.1.9 (fresh new files no updated zip)
TP 1.0B3

mods:

1.     Stop Forum Spam      0.3      
2.    FontandSizeDropdown   1.2    
3.    TinyPortal    1.075    
4.    Disable_Decrease_Post_Count_Option    1.0


After searching I found out that articles need to be in a category...for some od reason other mthan me being dumb (that is the biggest problem) I can not get the article into the category...but it loads into the front age fine and dandy so can play at that part at will

now the problem we are having is that after the article is up there with user info selected to show (ava and userinfo) we are greeted with the posters ava but the info is not there:

not sure if this is tp/smf or theme problem

Does this happen when viewing the front page when logged in as an Admin or only when viewing the front page as a guest?

I had the exact same issue but at some point in my tweaking and testing of went away... Have you posted in the forum to see if it forces those details to get updated?
