Try something like:

If you don't want a fixed background, remove the line.
The image path is a demo, use the path for your theme.

You already have a: body element, delete it and use the above, or incorporate it into it.

Oooh.. yeah.. ummm. I would use something a little more subtle, to be straight with you. With the genre of you're site, that background doesn't work.. trust me 

Have a look at some of the showcase sites.. Why not try out a few themes, there's plenty that are free. Check the theme boards, and the downloads. You are welcome to have a look at my site, link under my Avatar. <<< Probably not the best site for comparison, but it shows themes in use.

[edit] And the red font in the Admin user name seriously clashes with that shade of grey
