RSS Member Interface

I know that the roadmap shows improvements for RSS handling in general, but Id like to share a few ideas I had.

A lot of incomming feeds that I use display pictures and take up a lot of space. So I was wondering if theres a way to add a simple interface to the RSS box. One that allows users to view x amount of headlines with an arrow that allows them to display the next x amount of headlines in the feed, ect.
Also Adding a dropdown menu for the users to select other feeds aswell as remember their prefrences.

I dont know how easy this would be, or how possible it is, but I would definately like to suggest this idea.

Some of the basics that I think would be really good to have is the option to customize / hide / show:

• Images - option to hide / show - even customize the layout if showing images
• Story - option to hide all of the story (just the title shows), show a certain number of words, show a certain number of lines, show entire story, etc.
• Number of stories / titles

And, like the shoutbox, implement the ability to turn autoscroll off / on.


As you said, my understanding is that Bloc is willing to do a lot of things like this with it, before 1.0 comes out.

Im trying to figure out how to make a mod for it myself.. But I dont know enough php to do it. If someone else doesnt do it, I'll do it eventually!

I've been using CaRP as a solution and it works beyond beautifully.  If there's anything I'd like to see TP's RSS intergration model itself after, CaRP would be it.

Added a few things to TP that will maybe help: showing titles only for feeds, styles to tailor the titles better and support for image tag.

Nice Bloc, then I hope that when appear the image on RSS, it will not be a two larger ones (in size)

No, it has css style to create a scrollbar at least, not breaking the layout.
