Calendar's Upcoming Events goes away after TP installation

I just installed TP v0.9.8 onto my SMF 1.1.7 installation.  I am using the default theme.  Prior to the TP installation, my forum index would show a section for Upcoming Calendar right under recent posts.  It is gone now.  Does the TP installation get rid of that?  And, if so, how can I get that back?  I did a quick search for "upcoming events" but all it returned seemed to be block sniplets.

TP doesn't touch the recent events or Calendar in any way that I know of. If you remove TP does the events come back?

I just uninstalled TP and Upcoming Events did not come back.

Looks like you have an SMF problem then.

Figured out the problem....I had deleted the events for the next 10 days, so of course there weren't any to show in that section.
