SMF 1.1.5 with TP 0.9.8 upgrade to SMF 1.1.6

I am a real Newbie, so please do not shoot me for asking...

I have SMF 1.1.5 with TP 0.9.8 and SMF Gallery Lite.

I'd like to install the SMF patch 1.1.6 so I go in Main/Packages and Click on "this patch (click here to install)."

I get the rror message "An Error Has Occurred!
The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF."

What should I do exactly to get the patch installed without loosing everything done so far?

You need to ask at SMF as the patch is theirs.
