Did you add your own paths to the code? and also, did you change the image names to fit your images?

var fadeimages=new Array()
//SET IMAGE PATHS. Extend or contract array as needed
fadeimages[0]=["photo1.jpg", "", ""] //plain image syntax
fadeimages[1]=["photo2.jpg", "http://www.cssdrive.com", ""] //image with link syntax
fadeimages[2]=["photo3.jpg", "http://www.javascriptkit.com", "_new"] //image with link and target syntax

var fadeimages2=new Array() //2nd array set example. Remove or add more sets as needed.
//SET IMAGE PATHS. Extend or contract array as needed
fadeimages2[0]=["photo1.jpg", "", ""] //plain image syntax
fadeimages2[1]=["photo2.jpg", "http://www.cssdrive.com", ""] //image with link syntax
fadeimages2[2]=["photo3.jpg", "http://www.javascriptkit.com", "_new"] //image with link and target syntax
var fadebgcolor="white"

ok Bigguy you have to edit all this to fit what you want.
the firstsection and the second section is to set up 2 fading windows. if you are going to show 2 slides show it is just showing you how.

ok 1st section section
var fadeimages=new Array()
//SET IMAGE PATHS. Extend or contract array as needed
fadeimages[0]=["url to you photo's", "", ""] //plain image syntax
fadeimages[1]=["photo2.jpg", "http://www.cssdrive.com", ""] //image with link syntax
fadeimages[2]=["photo3.jpg", "http://www.javascriptkit.com", "_new"]  //image with link and target syntax

ok here it goes: the green area is where your photos are located i.e http://www.somewhere.com/pics/1.jpg
ignore the red area it is just telling you info.
know if you want people to click on the picture to go to a web address  photo2 line shows you how to set it up
and the third one is just showing you how to nake it go to a web address in a new window

example of mine

whoesa

I tested in IE and FF. Works just fine for me.

It should work when you follow the instructions from ^Pork^ .  :)
I uploaded my images folder (worldcup) in the directory where i have Sources, Themes, Packages, avatars, etc.. and just changed paths in the code.
So for me it looks like this: public_html/worldcup/WC.jpg

and my code is like this:
var fadeimages=new Array()
//SET IMAGE PATHS. Extend or contract array as needed
fadeimages[0]=["worldcup/WC.jpg", "http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/splash.html", "_new"] //plain image syntax
fadeimages[1]=["worldcup/WC3.jpg", "http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/splash.html", "_new"] //image with link syntax
fadeimages[2]=["worldcup/WC1.jpg", "http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/splash.html", "_new"] //image with link and target syntax
fadeimages[3]=["worldcup/WC2.jpg", "http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/splash.html", "_new"] //image with link and target syntax
fadeimages[4]=["worldcup/WC4.jpg", "http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/splash.html", "_new"] //image with link and target syntax

var fadebgcolor="BLACK"

Hope this helps!  :)

bigguy

Ok cool I think I got it now. So really if all I want is pics to fade I just repeat the first line and put a url to the image in right. ??

bigguy

Just thought I would say. I have this fading 1 pic right now just to sort of test it and the news fader in smf doesn`t seem to want to fade with this.

bfeo

Oh hey, this would be one arse kicking effect for a rotating banner, am I right?  :P
