I've read a few topics with this same problem but no where the solution I am looking for.
I want my Tinyportal homepage to have the page title:

GameRoad.Nl

Istead of: http://www.gamero.../index.php

How can I change it?
Plain and simple, shouldn't be that hard right??  ???

Quick answer is that the page title is set in your theme's index.template.php file.

Link to my site: Your URL
SMF version: SMF ver. here
TP version: TP ver. here
Theme name and version: Theme name here
Mods installed: Mods listed here

I'm so sorry for not following the posting guidelines  :'(

Link to my site: http://www.gameroad.nl/
SMF version: 1.1.5
TP version: 1.0.5
Theme name and version: Indigo (edited)
Mods installed: Only TP

I've fixed the problem for my homepage now because it says GameRoad like I wanted but,
when I go to the forum now or a topic is always says GameRoad. Before it would say the name
of the topic for example. Can I have those two things both?

You may be able to adapt this to your needs, with a bit of php code and editing your index.template.php file. This isn't specific to that theme, but rather a generic approach instead.

* As always, make a backup copy of the original file prior to editing.

Search for the following text: $context['page_title'] I think you will find it typically in two places; one that sets the meta tag, and the other that sets the <title> element. You can set it in both locations if you wish...

Insert this before the leading dollar sign: $context['forum_name'] . ' : ' .
Note the use of the single quotes and the trailing period afterward.

You should end up with something like:
$context['forum_name'] . ' : ' . $context['page_title']

This will put the name of the forum (i.e. whatever is set in the admin panel) in front of the page title.

Cheers!  8)
