Portal as main page

I can't seem to remember where to change the setting for the portal to be the main page a member sees when he logs in?

Im not sure what you mean right now, but if it is what i think you have the settings for the frontpage ( the TP frontpage ) in Admin/TinyPortal/Settings and then the menue there holds the "frontpage"

I've tried changing the options for the blocks but I still can't see the portal blocks when I log in it immediately shows the forum index.

"What to display on front page"   Uncheck the part where it say it goes directly to the forum

I chose "Forum-posts and articles - sorted on date" and it still goes directly to forum index instead of portal....

Then it should work. What articles show up? any redirects etc. in them?

No articles....just have posts pulled from the forum news board.

If you are using an un-modified TP 0.9.8 or TP 1.0.5 you SHOULD see those posts on frontpage - if you choose "show posts and articles" or "show forum posts only". Since you do not have any articles up, the option "show single page" will not work.

In any case, only the option "go directly to forumindex" will do what you describe. So you must have something non-default in this installation for this to happen. Without any further information I cannot say what.
