Hello,

I am using TP ADV Shout in SMF 1-1-5

1) How do I make it so the member link colors show in the chat?

2) How can I make the chat its own separate page with a menu link?

Thank you.

IchBin

TP doesn't have a chat. Are you talking about the shoutbox? You're words seem to be a little confusing. You can't have the TPshout in a separate page. Member names already show in color.

Atheo

Yes, I mean the TP ADV Shout...I dont have the custom colors showing for members...everyone is the same color as the default theme text color

IchBin

Have no idea what causes that. I've seen it posted by one or two other members, but I don't remember a solution happening. Sorry.

Atheo

Can I have it appear if I have made a custom action?  Is there a way to have that action added to the area where you define the visible options?

i.e.   custom action = "Chat"

That way I could have a TP Block appear solely on that page...like it was by itself.  Is that possible?

QuoteCan I have it appear if I have made a custom action?

No.

Here's a possibility. Create an article. Put some little thing in it. Create a center block with the Shoutbox in it. Have it only appear on that article that you just created. Use a link to the article as a link to the shoutbox. That might do what you want.

Note that the Shoutbox is *not* a chat function. It's very different than a chat and I don't think you're going to be very happy trying to make it into one.

thought id give it a try...thanks

any suggestions on a chat function?

I appreciate the help guys, thanks.
