Issue with language files and character set

Hi guys !!

I'm having a little issue with a new installation of Portuguese language in a new SMF+TP install.
I have another forum where everything is perfect, so I don't know why this is happening.

Portuguese works fine in SMF, but not in TP.
Looks like there's something wrong with the character set as letters with special accents "ã", "ç", and so on appear strangely like you can see in the attached pic.

By the way..I have installed SMF 1.1.5 + TP 0.98

Any suggestions?

Cant speak for that language more then the basics you can check.
I assume you have tested bot the regular oand the utf8 package ?  make sure the files are named the same as the SMF files so the strings are the same like tportal.portuguese.php and tportal.portuguese-utf8.php

If the strings are named diffrently, they will not work.

In fact I didn't think of deleting the regular package and renaming the UTF8 files.
Now it's working !!
