Have you got it to work yet?

IchBin

allow_url_fopen (or something like that) has to be set to on in your PHP configuration. ZTN, I would highly recommend you turn it OFF. This allows remote files to be included on your site. If someone were to find a exploit in some software you are using, they could use a remote file include to hack your site.

SamoanOnion

no, I haven't gotten it work'n yet, but from what it sounds like from what IchBin is saying, thats a good thing it isn't... right?

IchBin

Including a remote file IMO is not a good thing. All files you include on your site should be local and not remote with the exception of RSS feeds perhaps. If the file is on your server, try including it with the path instead of the URL.

include('path/to/file.php');

Zetan

Hmm.. okay. How do you switch it off?

SamoanOnion

I believe it's in your main PHP config file

IchBin

allow_url_fopen I think is the attribute you can have turned off in your php.ini file.
