In the frontpage settings the following text needs to be changed so that people will understand that it affects articles as well as posts.

"Number of forum-posts to display on front page:"

This setting affects how many forum posts AND articles display on the frontpage. Perhaps it should say

"Number of news items to display on front page:"

or

"Number of posts/articles to display on front page:"
