What is RC1/RC2?

Are they different versions of simple machines or something? And would I be able to install tiny portal with them?

SMF 1.1RC1 and SMF 1.1RC2 are Release Candidates of the main SMF forum software. Tiny Portal is a sophisticated mod for the SMF forum software TP 0.75 will work with RC1 but the version for RC2 is still being Alpha tested at the moment.
