your gonna have to give us more details. Did you install the shoutbox module or did you install the advanced shoutbox module in tinyportal menu section that says "modules"

did you set the block to show "TP Module" as per instructions. Once set did you go into the block and click the radio button for the correct shoutbox module. Did you enable the block on panels and blocks? Did you enable visible options inside the block.

You want help, yet you seemed to have totally ignored this post and not answered any of the questions....

ok if all you've done is install tp, than follow these steps exactly:

Admin -->Modules -->Upload Modules

Now here you should see 3 things,
TPAdvShout
TPShout
TPtestmodule

next to these you should see "Install the module?"

Click the second one to install "TPShout" if you want the one that is here on TP now. If you want the one like i have on TPM chose "TPAdvShout" and install that one.

Once you do that it will redirect you back to the page that says:

Modules, now which ever one you installed with show 2 radio buttons "on" "off" and should be green with the "on" clicked.

Now go back to Admin --> Panels and Blocks

On this page scroll down to which ever block you want to add the shoutbox too if youve already created one other wise chose the panel you want to install it on and add block.

Once your on the block you want the shoutbox on either creating fresh or from blocks and panels where it says "type" scroll through the list and chose "TP Module" , click save from which ever location your at.

Now got that block and chose edit, once inside your gonna see a radio button with either "TPShout" or "TPAdvShout" click this button and save, now go back into the edit mode and look for "Go to visible options" click it, once there chose where you want your block to show.

Now once youve save it and done everything I asked go back to the panels and Blocks page and find it in the list where ever it is, it should have a red image under "Activate" click it so that it turns green.

Now you have your shoutbox.

To configure it further under your tinyportal menu section in admin your gonna see a new link either "TPShout" or "TPAdvShout" click it and your gonna be where you manage shouts, there will be two tabs, one for where your at and one that says settings, now click settings and set up the configuration you want for your shoutbox.

I hope this helps

Ok. Now its there, but when I go to "shout" something it stays on waiting and sits there. This is the same problem that I am having with the articles. Look at this post.

ive seen that post, to be honest im not sure whats up, don't know if its site releated or server related. Can you create posts without any problems on the forum?

Maybe we should mark this topic as solved sense youve obviously got it setup correct and continue this other problem on the article thread.

Maybe it's just me but if you have an important and huge website like that why not wait to update?  There is bound to be a few bugs.

Quoted for emphasis. This is beta software, and I think you should not be using it on such a large site at this point. Just my $.02
