Another way of checking if you have ownership of the files.

CHMOD the files to 777.

Exit/Refresh the folder, go back and re-check the permissions, if they have reverted back to say 755, then you don't have full ownership of the files. While you may well be CHMOD'ing the files, you need to go back and recheck to make sure.

I've seen this several times when I have been given access to a site/server to install TP.

...not to worry! I'll fix it when I have the time...

Thanks for the reply though!

Im unsure if my problem is the same.  Ive CHMOD all folders in the editor directory to 777, even disconneted and reconnected to ftp to ensure they were still 777.

But my editor isnt working, neither of them, its set to the FCK one now, but i tried the other without success as well.

One thing im unsure of is i created this site under a different domain name, changed the domain name and edited all links in the TP site to point to the new domain name.  Yet when i browse the site.  the info in the bottom left still saysin "loading acerthegamer.com/.......etc  but that was my old domain.  everything else is working great on the site.

any info GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks!

you have to manually change the paths in your db through php myadmin.
Or try to upgrade the TP db tables using the manual_tp_install.php file from the downloadsection.

is that the reason my editor isnt working, or is that just the reason why its saying its loading in my old domain name?

i uploaded the manual_tp_install.php and navigated to it checked all tables and such and came back with message "TinyPortal´s table structure is now installed/updated."

yet im still getting the old domain showing in bottom left when loading pages.  Im sure this means that this method doesnt do the trick.

Then you need to manually edit the url paths for the TP tables in your database through phpmyadmin.
