Show both the featured articles and front page block

In the 'front page settings', there is an option 'Featured article and front page blocks' in the 'what to show on front page' section. As the name says, I expected it would show both the featured articles and items in my front page block. But I could not get it work. Only the featured articles showed up, no front page block. If I choose the following option 'front page block only', I could get the front page block. I'm using the latest version of smf and tinyportal.

I looked into the source a little bit. I found that option corresponds to a choice of 'single_page' for the 'front_type' variable. The problem is once the featured article is shown, the 'mypage' variable is not empty. So the code switches off the front page block eventually. I modified a little and it works now. However, I think this must not be a thing the developer intended to do so, considering the name itself even. So I report it here.

BTW, a question or suggestion for the RSS feed block. Is there any setting to control the number of titles to be displayed in the block? Some feeds pushes more than what I want.

Yes, your thoughts are correct, as TP is in development ( tp v098 a beta version) we have found and corrected numerous bugs and fixed, rewrote a lot of code and Bloc even decided to change about every layout there is for the article and block system.

You can have Front Page Blocks and Articles.. But Not Featured Articles. You set the Articles you want to show on the front page in the settings of the Article. Featured Article can only display 1 article on the home page.

Yeah, thank you! I know several workarounds for my problem. Just wanna point out there is something confused for a newbie;)
