Can't get tinyportal to install

I want to  install tinyportal, Yet I get Test failed on index.template.php can someone help me install it?

Thats why you make a backup of your files before you make changes.

Don't give up, you can view the xml of TP and see what changes need to be made to the index.template.php and make them yourself.

Rebelrose - Tried to help me and we couldn't get it to work properly cause I had a previous version of TP installed and everything is messed up

Download a fresh set of files for the SMF forum on simplemachines,org. ( make sure you keep your settings.php and settings_bak.php intakt, to be safe, take those 2 files and backup them.

Replace all the files with the new files (this will remove every mod you have installed, but only codewise, everything in the DB (your content) will be intact.

When you have done that, install the TP package again and after that, add back your mods (if any) and refresh your site.

Maybe it's just me I don't know but I install an exact replica on a 2nd site 2nd datbase and all and now I'm getting the error when I go to install tinyportal my live site is in /forum the replica is in /support

If you search for that error you'll find its been posted many, many times. Its because your index.template.php file has been altered. And since TP is searching for a specific piece of code (that has been altered) the test fails. You either need to manual edit the file, or replace it with a new one and try the install again. Doing that will lose any other mod code installed though.
