Hi, I downloaded TP from your site. 1.1RC2 won't acept it yet 1.1RC1 does, yet once it's installed is puts the TP data into the database, and I click refresh (Home) and it's blank! What's going on?

You have to have a Tinyportal compatible theme. If the install went ahead perfectly then the default SMF theme will be modified, but you'll have to then either install the TP versions of bloc's themes, or else convert other themes you may have.

Also, SMF 1.1 RC1 has a problem with the Package installer. When it puts the files on the server it puts them as 0 byte files. What you need to do is to open the zip file containing TinyPortal, and manually upload the files (using an ftp program of some sort) overwriting the 0 byte files.

Once you do this, you should be able to see the forums. (note: there are files in about 4 different directories that need to be uploaded)

I do all my web creating and testing (forums, etc.) on my own server.

You mean no display of the forum index? If the database install was sucessful I would check that the required edits for your sources/templates etc have taken place.

:)

Please note what I said above about SMF 1.1 RC1 Package Manager having a bug that uploads zero byte files. The affected files will have to be uploaded manually (using an ftp program), and then the forums should work properly.
