I posted this on my own forums as well as in the Graphics and Templates section on sm.org.

This is an awesome application and idea. It will install ie3 through ie6 (you can choose which ones you want to install) all as stand alone browsers. This is awesome for cross checking through multiple versions of IE.

Just thought I'd share this with everyone because it's awesome, lol.

While its a good idea, I can't even stand the thought of having a single version of IE on my computer. If I had a choice I wouldn't even have one. :)

Yup, I know its awesome, installed it earlier and using it for last month now. Along with Safari for Windows, Opera 6-9 and Firefox 1.5-2 pretty much all browsers are covered. Now, to really tweak things things to work in IE4/5 is another matter ;) ..I set my goal to at least make it work in IE6+7, and reasonable in IE5.5 + Opera 7-8.

Same here. And as long as IE 6 is okay and IE5.5 is usable and looks decent enough, then it works for me. I'm not supporting anything older than 5.5...

Yeah. In fact..one of themes I am working on now use 24bit PNG for soft shadows on the header, and that of course doesn't work so well in IE6. But I opted for alternative stylesheet and 8-bit PNG for that browser only - it just isn't any reason to not using all the options now - as IE7 finally is more up to speed with the others. Safari is even further ahead after what I have read, supporting even css 3.

Using true transparency really makes all those intricate slices in Photoshop redundant.

I have become comfortably numb!

not as nearly the same as having a browser...but in a pinch you could use:
