hi guys,

i want to make www.whatever.com of mine becomes TP.
i know i have to install the SMF first, and the thing i wanna ask is where?
www.whatever.com/htdocs or www.whatever.com/htdocs/forum ?

if i install it in /htdocs/forum, then upload the TP packages, apply the mod and everything,
does my main index : www.whatever.com will show up as TP look?

or i have to install SMF in /htdocs ?

and last question, can i manually install TP rather than upload/apply/install method from SMF adminpanel?

thanks :)

Had you taken the time to search a bit you would have found your answer cruz. Even just read two more topics down on this very page.

i already see it before. thanks btw.
i just thought that it would be different case if i install SMF on /htdocs from the first place :]

about the TP installation, can i do it manually?
my browser seems to had a long session for installing TP using the package install in SMF.
(after apply mod and checking)..or is it just take more time when TP starts to auto-install?

if the manual installation takes more time, then i should try it again to re-install TP from SMF
panel.

sorry for a lot of asking, im just wondering :)

love TinyPortal!!!

All of your questions have been answered MANY times cruz. Any particular reason you don't use the search? I'm not trying to be rude here, I'm just curious what makes people not use the search.

To answer your questions:

Of course a mod can be installed manually. Any SMF mod can. It just takes work. Obviously more work than an auto install package manager would. If you can't get your package manager to work you should consult to the SMF people for help. If that doesn't work, then you install it manually. The instructions for the manual install are in the Docs board.

thanks a lot my friend :)

i've already finished the job, manually. im willing to spend half an hour just to install TP
hehehe  ;)

thanks for the guide.
