Can you take a screen shot of what you are talking about?

netridge

Yes I can,
I have class this afternoon, I will post it later tonight when I get home.

As you can see by the picture below, the top thread is a sticky thread. Which as you can tell does not show on the left side which I am pointing to with a red arrow. The thread below it, is a closed thread, again because there is no icon to you cannot tell the difference.  ???

The icons are there, look to the left of the topic headline
The locked thread have a lock in the image and the sticky have a frame in the image

Sorry G6, those are not the Sticky icons that he is refering to:

If you look at the bottom of this page:
http://www.clipperforum.com/index.php?board=1.0

:-X

Zetan said it for me. the icons on the left are not what I am referring to, its the icons that need to be to the left of the thread were the arrow is point. Since that thread is a sticky, it should have sticky icon to the right of it. ;D.

Actually, it depends on the theme you are using... and in this case what you are showing in the picture, is how stickies and locked threads are displayed in that theme...this is correct
(I have doublechecked this theme on several test boards as well as here at tp.net)

Also with the theme you are using, if you look under the 'replies/views' area, the cells for those are a dark grey...

I believe what is being referred to at the bottom, is what options are available as a user/member/poster

hope this helps

It helps to let me know that it was not accidentally over looked, but it would have been nice to originally have the icons in the threads on this theme, that way you user could tell the difference between threads.  :-\

all is not lost netridge, If you want to use the 'pushpin' as a sticky icon, just copy/save a pushpin icon as 'normal_post_sticky.gif '

then upload (and overwrite)the new pushpin icon into your correct file...which will be something like

http://www.yoursite.com/Themes/oxygen11final_tp/images/topic/normal_post_sticky.gif

do the same for the locked topic icon if your wish...

this will take maybe a minute and you will have the results you are looking for...  ;)
