I know this probably has a simple answer and I have avoided posting, but now that I am about to rip all my hair out, I am going to ask for help.

I installed the TP into SMF (the newest version). I just got SMF via Siteground and am struggling to find my way around. I had a few bumps with installing TP but then finally got it to show up and did that English fix thing to make the stuff show up.

What doesn't show is the forum tab at the top. If I change the skin to default, it has two forum tabs! as well as the home tab and all the other tabs.

I don't want to use the default skin and even if I did, I don't want to forum tabs.

So is this some easy setting thing I just am too stupid to figure out???

Ken.

Two different issues:
The extra button in the SMF default theme is caused by having the code for that button entered twice.
The manual install instructions will show you where to make the edits to remove the extra entry.

For your custom theme to show the TinyPortal install correctly it must be designed with TP support built in... some themes only work for SMF.
The themes here on TP will have "_tp" in the file name or will work with both SMF and SMF/TP and for those themes you must go to Current Theme in your admin panel and turn on TP support.

Ken.

Take a look at this link... its for adding a button but it will show you where to look for your extra code.
