Install results in blank screen (and no it's not set to UTF8, set to English)

I am doing a fresh install of TP on to of SMF 1.1.3.  The install seems to complete normally.  I get the page with the link to "restart the forums" (i.e. go back to index.php).

When I click on that link the page is completely blank.  The left bar isn't showing either.  Any attempt at that point to get to any page which starts off index.php just shows blank, making it impossible to jump to the admin page.  Only resolution I have found so far is to wipe and reinstall. which is not so difficult as it's a new install with nothing in it.

After a fresh install I checked the language settings (as per the numerous posts here).  The site is set to English as language, in fact when I drop down the menu on the install I don't see any options other than just "English".

That would seem to eliminate the "you need the UTF8 language pack" issue.  But still, any install results in a index.php showing nothing.  I tested making a backup of index.php thinking I could easily revert to the standard SMF entrance page and it stays blank, making me think it's a problem with the database install possible for TP?

Any help would be appreciated, feel more than free to call me that noob you all hate is this was covered somewhere else, as I've been looking and haven't found anything which matched this yet.

Details:
Version Information:
Forum version: SMF 1.1.3
Current SMF version: SMF 1.1.3
And installing TP from the  TP_0983.zip file I just downloaded.

The only anomaly i noted in the installation is that it kept wanting to reference things in /vhosts/bexara.com/httpdocs , when in actuality the FTP logon and SSH logon are both locked to / being /vhosts/bexara.com (i.e. her FTP and web root directory is just /httpdocs as per her login)

Update, something which hasn't happened before on the attempted installs.  I see this when I click to install the mod:

1.     Extract Tree     ./Themes
2.    Extract Tree    ./Sources
3.    Extract Tree    ./tp-downloads
4.    Extract Tree    ./tp-images
5.    Extract Tree    ./FCKeditor
6.    Extract Tree    ./wysiwyg
7.    Execute Code    tp_install.php
8.    Execute Modification    tinyportal09x-11x.mod    Modification parse error

Edit : OK. looks like I have to manual install.  fun fun... SOrry for tanking up bandwidth.

He have you the answer at the end of his post MinilaGurL. You'll have to manually install if you have these problems.
