Block inside block

[fugi]

How can I add a block inside another? Sth with positions? I've tried but they refused to change

My utter purpose is to put Search and News into a new single block

EDIT: How can I resize specific block. I want a serach block like urs

[IchBin]

You'll have to manually edit the code to put the search and news into the same block. The code for that is located in the index.template.php file. Which theme are you talking about?

[fugi]

Oh, plz don't tell me it's theme related!

I 've isntalled abt 5-6 themes, I don't wanna change them all!
I'm interesting more abt SMFone_blue and default of course

[IchBin]

Yes.... unfortunately it is theme related. I'm assuming these are both TP versions since your posting in the beta testing forum?

[fugi]

U mean TP compatible?
Default it is obviously and SMFoneBlue is the one I converted a month or 2 ago

[IchBin]

I don't have the SMFoneBlue theme, if you can send it to me that would make it easier on me. The default theme seems a bit difficult at a glance. If you want to put the search in the news box its going to leave a blank spot under the user block. It might be too big for the news block on the right. Or do you want to move the news under the user block. I need a bit more details as you can see on what exactly you want.

OK, I want a structure like in this site's theme black22_TP as far as the search is concerned.

The modified index.template.php for the smfoneblue u can download it from here

The whole Smfone blue u can download it from SMF forum.
The theme's patch is not necessary as it fixes some minor bugs
