Hi All,
did somebody finally enhance the Wireless.template.php
for more functions ?

1. I really would  love to have also at least the edit function via WAP
interface.
Cause when I use my PDA  I sometimes have some typos in my
postings, when I am outside on the road and can not edit out these
typos. That is too bad.

So who has already hacked the
Wireless.template.php
to included Editing and a few other gimmicks ?

Also the quoting is very bad implemented and you always donÃ,´t know,
is this a quote or a part of the new posting ?

2. Also it would be nice, if posted pictures as attachments would be rescaled to less than 50 kbytes
in the WAP access mode.

Some of my users post pictures in my forum with 3 MBytes as these are very large.

There is already a hack to have attachments displayed as links
in the wireless template, so I also can check the attachments out in WAP mode.
(Search in simplemachines.org with my username and "wireless".)
It would be good,
if there would be an online rescale function, that can rescale these pics to about
640x480 with less than 50kbytes.
Then the download in the GPRS mode of my PDA would not have to download
the 3 Mbytes file, but only the rescaled 50Kbytes version, which will be much faster..

3.Regarding posting attachments directly from the PDA when one has
taken for instance a picture or video on the road...
Yes, that would be very nice,
if one could post attachments in the WAP interface.

Although I guess only the Netfront browser supports file attachments
via HTTP Upload function.
The Pocket Internet Explorer in my Windows Mobile 2003 does not support this.

So did anybody already hack the Wireless.template.php
to do these features ?

Many thanks.
Regards, Stefan.

This is definitely something you should be posting at www.simplemachines.org
