Ken.

The revised code looks great! ;D
Now I can paste it all into my editor (MS FrontPage) and rearange the entries to make them look a little more in order.

Lesmond you have helped a great deal and you code has solved the issue!
Thank you for this code, now can I ask for just a little more???  ;)
It would be a good thing to have this basic background code as a template so that new articles could simply be pasted into the template. Most likely I could sort it out myself, but your code is working so much better that mine, thank you... Ken

Ken.

Will this code work as a template, or do I need to include more?
<div align="center">
        <table border="0" cellpadding="0" style="border-collapse: collapse" width="100%" id="table1" height="8" background="http://www.performanceefx.com/forum/tp-images/Image/carbonfiber_fine.gif">
          <tr>
            <td width="90%" align="center" valign="top" height="150" colspan="3">

//insert article here.
             </td>
          </tr>
        </table>
      </div>

Which file were you modifying to set a background for TP articles. I just want to add a backgriund picture to it so it will look more appealing. Can anyone answer this? Thank you in advance.

IchBin

You can add a background picture to quite a few HTML tags. If you have a table or div, just add the background to that in your article code.

ahrasis

I need to know the specific file (eg. index.template.php) to modify the article background alone (not the whole theme).

IchBin

So you want every article to have the background? My post above will give you the ability to customize a single article. But for all articles its probably in the TPortal.template.php

ahrasis

Ok. I got it. So if I want to customize each and every article background it is advisable for me to just use html code in the article itself without any need to modify the original file. Unless I want a fixed background for all article.

Thank you IchBin.
