Question 1:
How can I increase the number of charactors displayed?  At the moment the highlighted text - hyperlink for the topic and title - is quite short.  As I want to use the Latest Topics on the top of the forum this needs to be considerably increased and longer headings used.

Question 2:
Bit odd this but I am thinking of displaying the last 10 topics through an iframe at the top of my site using the SSI script.  This way I won't disturb the forum.  Only problem after testing this is the need to have the topics open with the tag "_top".  Can this be altered?

Got Question 2 sorted.  I did a replace command on the SSI.php file and did this:

Might come in handy for others.  Will probably make a copy of this file and call it SSItop or something and put the original back as it was.  Call this new file into my recent topics ssi page instead.

I'm not sure exactly as I don't "know" php very well yet.

But I think this line is where it is only allowing 128 characters to be shown. Try playing with it in the SSI.php file.

Did anyone ever figure out the answer to showing more charactors for the recent topics list here?

I can only view about 25 or so charactors and would like to see the whole title of the topic listed so people know exactly what it is instead of it being cut off.

Never mind, it was a short_subject setting in the ssi.php file. I reset it 60 and now the whole subject appears!

For future reference, in ssi.php find:

Change the 25 to a number of choice.
