Preview topic for recent topics block?

There are some mods that allow you to(like in Vb) preview the starting text of a topic by hovering over it. A member of mine suggested it would be great if this was enabled for the recent topics bar, along with showing in the preview where the topic is located (Category > Forum > etc), can this be easily done?

This is really useful for my forum in particular as it is broken up in, I guess I could call it different districts, and the people from each district don't associate much except in general forums. This of course is causing problems as most people use the recent topics block a lot.

I think you can use the mod they have at SMF to get what you want with some code modifications for the block.

I cant remember what they called that mod, but it gives you the hover description on topics you talked about.

I noticed 1.1.2 says it has support for recent topics, is that the same recent topics the block uses?

Im not sure about that, i think it's made for SMF only as it's on their site. Only way to know is to try
